2. Do I need to make a down payment?

We ask for a 25% down payment within 8 days of the contract date. The final balance payment is due 2 to 4 months before arrival, depending on the house of your choice. If your arrival is within 2 months from the contract date we ask for full payment within 8 days of the contract date.

4. Do I need to return a signed copy of the contract?

You do not have to return a signed copy of the contract. Receipt of your down payment by the owner of the house constitutes your acceptance of this contract.

5. Can I pay with a credit card?

As the contract is between you and the owner, your payments are to the owner directly. All owners are private persons who rent out their holiday home and as such they are unable to accept credit card payments. Payments can be made by bank transfer, if you so desire we can suggest several services which make international bank transfers easy and affordable.

6. When do you confirm my down payment?

When it comes to international money transfers sometimes banks do tend to take their time, so we will check and confirm your down payment after 8 days only. Please note: you do not need to send us proof of payment, we will check your payment after the payment due date. We will confirm your payment as soon as the owner reports the payment as received; this might take a few days.

7. When do you confirm my final payment?

We will check your final payment the day after the payment due date. We will confirm your payment as soon as the owner reports the payment as received; this might take a few days. Please note: When it comes to international money transfers sometimes banks do tend to take their time, so please allow 5 working days for your transfer to be processed.

8. Do I need cancellation insurance?

We ask a non-refundable down payment so please do take out a comprehensive insurance covering all cases of trip cancellation or interruption, including 'force majeure'. You may have this insurance as part of annual travel insurance plan you might already have in place. If not, you need to take out this insurance within a few days of booking a rental.

9. Who will welcome me at the house?

About 3 weeks before your arrival we will send you an access route description. A caretaker will welcome you at the house, arrival times and caretaker details will be in the access route description.

11. What is the exact location of the house?

The location on the map is accurate. Please contact us if you need the GPS coordinates.

12. Can I invite extra guests?

Your contract states the number of persons (adults, children, babies and occasionally maximum guests) in your party. The owner has accepted your booking based on this number. If you want to amend the number of persons staying or if you want to have guests over you need to obtain prior permission from the owner.

13. Is smoking permitted inside the house?

Smoking is permitted outside only.

14. Can I bring my dog?

Some houses will accommodate dogs but always on request only, these houses will have 'pets allowed on request' listed as rental condition. In case your dog is allowed a surcharge might apply. If you do bring your dog, please do not leave any droppings in the garden! On departure we ask you to clean away any dog hairs from the floors and furniture before the cleaning crew arrives. If on departure obvious amounts of dog hairs are found an extra cleaning fee might be detracted from your security deposit.

15. Which cleaning services are included?

All houses include weekend cleaning and end cleaning, at no extra charge. Some houses also have a mid-week cleaning service included, this will be listed as a rental condition.

16. Is linnen included?

Sheets, towels and pool towels are always included.

17. Does the house have laundry facilities available?

All houses have a washing machine available.

18. When is the pool open / Is pool heating available?

The swimming pools are open from beginning of May to mid September. Some houses do offer pool heating, in this case the pool season might be extended. In case of pool heating this will be listed as a rental condition, if extra charges apply these will be listed as well.

19. Does the house have WiFi?

All houses have WiFi. Please take into account that in this part of France cabled Internet is mostly provided by above ground cables. The WiFi connection in your house depends on these cables. In adverse weather conditions such as severe thunderstorms outages can occur, and it can take some time to restore connections after an outage. In these cases however the 3G/4G networks offer a good alternative. The owner cannot be held responsible for any loss or damages resulting from Internet and/or WiFi outages.

20. Does the house have Air Conditioning?

Summers in Provence can be quite hot. The advantage of Provence is that the nights are generally relatively cool. Tto keep the house cool, open all doors and windows when it gets dark late evening, and close them in the morning around 10am. If it's really hot there are some houses that have airconditioning: when using the air conditioning please close all windows and doors to make it efficient and to conserve energy. There is a dedicated electricity meter to measure the electricity used by the air conditioning; in case of extraordinary use the extra charges might be deducted from your security deposit.

21. Can you tell me about restaurants/shops/stores etc. in the neigborhood?

With confirmation of your final payment we will send you our Provence MiniGuide, which contains information about our favourite restaurants, wines, local markets and tours & hikes.

22. Do I need to pay a security deposit?

A security deposit is asked for by all house owners. The deposit is to be paid either by bank transfer or cash on arrival, depending on the conditions of the house owner.

23. When will you return my security deposit?

If the security deposit has been paid by bank transfer we will ask you for your bank data about 3 weeks before your arrival, to facilitate the return of your deposit. The security deposit will be transferred into your bank account soonest after your departure, after the deduction of possible damages. If the security deposit has been paid in cash on arrival the deposit will be returned upon departure, after the deduction of possible damages.

24. What is the availability of public services?

Disruption of public services is considered 'Force Majeur'; the property owners cannot be held responsible for any inconvenience, loss or damage that might occur due to interrupted supply of public services.
