Between the Luberon and Mt. Ventoux, on the edge of the quiet Medieval village of La Roque-sur-Pernes, you will find Villa la Roque. Being built on a promontory the village dominates the planes around Carpentras and has panoramic views of the legendary Mont Ventoux, famous because of the writer Frederic Mistral and as a landmark in the Tour de France cycling event.
This delightful villa has four magnificent bedrooms and bathrooms on the first floor and a large open-plan dining/living area and a fully equipped kitchen on the ground floor – space and comfort for 8 people. Working in the field of interior decoration and professional florists, it comes as no surprise that your hosts have taken time and checked every minute detail. The upper level of the house is air conditioned.
The house is situated in an extensive and well established garden of olive and fruit trees. The swimming pool is surrounded by local stone paving and is complemented with a beautiful 'daybed'. There are shady terraces both front and back of the house. When the sun is high, there’s always a shady spot on one of the terraces for that al fresco lunch or siesta. The house, the pool and the garden are completely fenced-in.
The calm and tranquil beauty of this property will enchant you. Bush walkers and those who adore the outdoors will marvel at the abundance of trails that lead through these beautiful hills.
The house is 230m2. The house plan is:
Entrance hall, w.c., a large living area with fireplace, flat screen TV, DVD and internet access.
Dining area and fully equipped kitchen with fridge, microwave, dishwasher, electric oven and electric cook-top.
Off the kitchen there is a laundry with washing machine, iron and ironing board and storage shelves.
The ‘Rose’ room has a 180cm (king) bed, private bathroom with Italian shower and hand basin.
The ‘Marguerite’ room has a 180cm (king) bed, private bathroom with Italian shower and hand basin.
The ‘Paquerette’ room has a 160cm (queen) bed, private bathroom with Italian shower, hand basin and w.c.
The ‘Violette’ room has twin beds.
A separate bathroom with bath, hand basin and wc.
There is an additional and separate w.c.
Private swimming pool 11m x 5.5m with alarm. The garden is 2,500m2.
Gas BBQ, wrought iron sun lounges and two teak garden tables and chairs.

I stayed at Villa La Roque with 3 friends. The house was easily able to hold 8 persons, so we had the luxury of plenty of space. It was exceptionally clean and well furnished with things we needed upon arrival. And the most amazing and gigantic bouquet of tulips, which graced our table all week, opening more and more each day. Hairdryers in each bathroom plus a washer/dryer were a huge plus for 4 women! The bathrooms were new and modern, the kitchen was very well stocked--we cooked every night! The caretaker was available but never intrusive. We did blow a fuse one day and he popped right over to fix it. He seemed eager to make sure we had a great time. In short, we just loved everything about the house!

We enjoyed our stay in Villa la Roque tremendously. It is a lovely Villa and we were welcomed with cold wine and a beautiful bunch of flowers. The caretaker was very informative re the surroundings and lovely day trips. The pool was a great hit with our group of 8 adults!

We spent a relaxing and wonderful family week in Provence in Villa la Roque. The house is good, well equipped internally (rooms, devices...) and externally (pool...) and well maintained. Well positioned for different trips. The caretaker gives additional plus to the atmosphere. He is a very nice person, helpful but not at all interfering in the privacy. All in all, excellent week and hope we manage to come again!
