Beautiful 'finca style' villa in the middle of the Luberon hills in a pleasant and peaceful area in between the hamlets of Auribeau and Castellet-en-Luberon. The house is close to Saignon, which is regarded as one of the most beautiful villages in Provence. Villa Les Lavandes is surrounded by lavender fields in all directions and has been tastefully renovated, with great attention to detail, using traditional building methods and natural materials.
Villa Les Lavandes sleeps 10 in 5 bedrooms, with 3 bathrooms. Entrance is through the hallway into the large living area, with doors opening up onto the shaded outside terrace, great for breakfast, lunch or dinner. From the hallway you have access to the beautiful fully equipped kitchen, the master bedroom with en suite bathroom and a separate toilet.
Upstairs a hallway gives access to four bedrooms. The first spacious bedroom (40m²) has beautiful light and is often used as a yoga space as well, so here you can sleep but also relax, on the sofa or in the hanging chair. On this level you'll have two more bedrooms, each with walls partly done in traditional stone; one of these bedrooms has access to a small outside terrace and the pool area. The shower room is at the end of the hallway. The fourth upstairs bedroom has an en suite bathroom: this bathroom can also be accessed from the hallway, so it can be used privately or by other guests as well.
The property has a 1 acre fenced-in garden amidst several acres of lavender fields and woodland. Several terraces and many trees supply some welcome shade during the summer months. Garden furniture and lounge chairs are supplied and there is a large pool with alarm system. In the garden you'll also find a large round seat, for those nice summer evenings, plus a covered area where you can sit in the shade. A parking space with capacity for six cars is situated at the entrance of the property.
Villa Les Lavandes is located 900m from the village of Auribeau and just a few steps from the villa you will be able to discover many interesting trails, lavender fields and the Mourre Nègre, the highest peak in the massif du Luberon. Although the house, its garden and the beautiful pool are an invitation to 'far niente' the area is a hikers dream and cyclists will equally be delighted.
The house is just a few kilometres from the beautiful village of Saignon, where you'll find several restaurants, a bakery, a small convenience store and a post office. The lively town of Apt, with its shops, markets, cafes and restaurants is a 15 minutes drive, and the cycle path to Apt is nearby.
Villa Les Lavandes is situated about 40 miles east of Avignon, 15 minutes from Bonnieux, Gordes and Roussillon, 45 minutes from L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue (famous for its antique shops) and 60 minutes from Aix en Provence. Marseille Airport is about a 1 hour and 20 minutes drive. You'll find 18-hole golf courses near Saumane (40km) and Manosque (35km).

The entire house is extremely clean, large, stylish and comfortable decorated in soft earth tones in authentic French country house style. Everything seems a bit bigger in reality than in the photos. The rooms are comfortable and decorated with great attention to detail. Also, the many common areas both inside and outside the property are cosy and inviting. The large kitchen has good equipment, so that you can do without visiting a restaurant every day. The pool is quite large, deep and very well maintained. The property is located in a secluded, idyllic typically Provencal landscape, near the small village of Auribeau that is within easy walking distance. By car, both the very tranquil little neighboring town of Saignon, where there are several restaurants, and the small town of Apt, where you can also find supermarkets and petrol stations, can be reached quickly. The accommodation is quite centrally located within Provence and many interesting areas such as the Verdon Gorge, Avignon, the Canyon near Rustrel or the larger city of Aix-en-Provence can be easily reached from there.

This is truly the perfect location to soak up the sunshine, silence and fragrance of the lavender fields!Every detail and every corner of this Provençal house is exquisitely equipped with a tasteful atmosphere and both the interiors and exteriors are built and maintained with love and taste. You can feel that this is a place that receives a lot of personal care and attention. All the details of the Bastide are perfect, the elegant interior decoration, the large swimming pool, the garden, the terraces and not to forget the delightful breakfasts prepared with local delicacies. The best: The welcome and kindness of the owners! Perfect location to explore all the highlights of the Luberon. We highly recommend you to visit one of the most beautiful spots of the area during your stay, the romantic neighboring village of Saignon and its picturesque square and restaurants.

This place is an absolute gem of a find! My partner and I spent a week here relaxing and visiting the surrounding picturesque villages. Such a comfortable place to stay with beautiful views of the lavender fields all around it and there are so many great treks to do and also to cycle! We would love to visit again next year! The bedrooms are so adorable and cozy with gorgeous decoration and the French breakfasts every morning were so delicious and gets you in the mood for a day of markets, sightseeing or simply relaxing by pool practicing your French!

We stayed here for the birthday of my fiancé and it was just like a dream. The house itself is amazingly beautiful, and what to say about the surroundings... The house is located in the heart of Provence, one of the most romantic regions in the world, full of forests, magical villages, dreamlike mountains and obviously, lavender fields. Highly recommendable, we would repeat with no hesitation.

Outstanding property in a beautiful region. The pool area was very relaxing on sunny days. The house had lots of small touches which made the place feel like a home, comfortable and cosy. Though the property was a little challenging to find at first, its seclusion was very relaxing. There are many beautiful villages and sights easily within driving or biking distance from the property. Thanks again, we hope we can return soon!
